We are excited to share that the 2022-23 National Officer Program Guide and Application are now live on the national SkillsUSA Website. All applications must be submitted by June 1, 2022 at 6 p.m. ET.
As a reminder, here are the additional requirements that potential national officer candidates must have before applying for national office:
- Verification of SkillsUSA Framework Certification
- Complete e-course and all associated work; and pass the assessment with a minimum score of 80% to earn the certification.
- Verification of CTE Knowledge Certification
- Complete e-course and all associated work; and pass the assessment with a minimum score of 80% to earn the certification.
- Verification of Career Essentials – Advanced or Adult Learner Course
- Complete and pass, at minimum, the first 3 units of the selected course including all work and unit tests. A minimum score of 80% is required.
- If the credential is not earned prior to election, national officers will be required to earn the Career Essentials Credential during their year of service as assigned by the national officer program manager. This will fit within their 3-10 hours of service per week in the typical, non-conference season as outlined in the job description located within the program guide.
Access to Certifications and Career Essentials
- For each of the additional requirements, SkillsUSA will offer these at no cost to students who are interested in running for national office.
- The deadline to apply for no-cost certifications and the no-cost Career Essentials cohort group led by national staff is February 1, 2022.
