District 11 Information and Documents

Your District Manager for District Eleven is Tamara Ford. She can be reached at: district11@skillsusatx.org. Your District Director for District Eleven is Jake Lopez. Your Teacher Advisory Committee representative for District Eleven is Juan Morales. He can be reached at: jmorales3@saisd.net 

Please make sure you are joining your district’s advisor group in Schoology. Each ditrict has its own page where advisors and the state office can connect without students. Videos of the town halls and other resource materials are posted in each district’s group.  District or State Schoology use will be a different log in specific to that event.

Starting an account is free at schoology.com. You will create an account as a student. Once you have an account go to Groups and then join a new group, you will be asked for an access code. Please reach out to your district director for your group code.

Substitution-Add Request District Form 2022

Registration opens Dec 17th. and closes on Feb 1st Late registration $25/registrant-allowed only with director approval. Substitutions are allowed with director approval. Cancellations with approval until Feb 4th.
No payments will be taken on-site. Payment is due by Mar 4th.
COVID release is part of your insurance statement in registration. Local CDC guidelines will be enforced.

Competition Regulations

All Texas Chapters abide by the regulations as outlined in the Texas Regulations. This document outlines registration limits, state, and nationals advancements, Texas Only contests, and more. Please refer to the Texas Regulations for detailed information. Always prepare your students by reading the newest edition of contest guidelines. 

National Technical Standards

National contests are listed in the national technical standards a free download with your paid professional membership.

Log on to www.skillsusa-register.org, and you should see a technical standards icon at the bottom of the page after you log in. If you click on that icon you will be directed to: https://mycareeressentials.org. (this platform is called Absorb) Advisors will need to create an account on Absorb to access the Technical Standards. If you need help setting up that account, please contact SkillsUSA’s customer care team at 844-875-4557 for assistance.
