Please make sure you are joining your district’s advisor group on Signal App. Each district has its own page where advisors and the state office can connect without students. Number of Voting Delegates Per Chapter: Each Texas chapter will have: a. one delegate for the Texas chapter b. one delegate for each group of 10 members c. one delegate for major fraction of 10 members (more than 5) i.e. 16 members = 3 voting delegates; 15 members = 2 voting delegates. At District Contest and State Conference, your delegates vote for officers and any proposed amendments.

New Texas State Pin and T-Shirt Contests. Check the Technical Standards in the Texas Regulations under Texas Only Contests. Be sure to read the directions for files to upload. Free to enter. Deadline to enter is Jan 2nd. Click here to upload. Open to HS and MS, any CTE program for a joined member. All judging and interviews will happen online.

D11 Contest Agenda 2024
Registration will open Dec 15 and close on Jan 11. No late registration. Substitutions and cancelations are allowed Jan 12-Jan 17 only. Any information in registration that is not submitted for an invoice by Jan 17 will be deleted. There is no on site registration. An invoice is the only confirmation that you are fully registered, an estimate of fees is not a complete registration. No Refunds after Jan 17th. Payments are due Feb 11. Add a 3% fee for credit card transactions. $50/pp, must be a joined member to register.
Online PD/Skills Testing window is Jan 12, 8am-Jan 19, 7pm. Click HERE for PD test study guide. If you do not take the test, you will get a ZERO score, no exceptions. The test score is part of the contest score. If you are entered in multiple contests you will only take the test once. Please register your students with a personal, not a school email address.
Advisors must register with their students. Must have a contestant badge to compete. Job exhibit notebooks must have a registration label to be judged. www.skillsusa-register.org

Competition Regulations
All Texas Chapters abide by the regulations as outlined in the Texas Regulations. This document outlines registration limits, state, and nationals advancements, Texas Only contests, and more. Please refer to the Texas Regulations for detailed information. Always prepare your students by reading the newest edition of contest guidelines.
- Each conference attendee MUST fill out the SkillsUSA Texas Personal Liability and Medical Release Form for EACH SkillsUSA Texas event they attend. This includes students, advisors and any observers or guests.
National Technical Standards
National contests are listed in the national technical standards a free download with your paid professional membership.
Log on to www.skillsusa-register.org, and you should see a technical standards icon at the bottom of the page after you log in. If you click on that icon you will be directed to: https://mycareeressentials.org. (this platform is called Absorb) Advisors will need to create an account on Absorb to access the Technical Standards.
