SkillsUSA offers many opportunities for growth through career competitions, including several Middle School level contests. Students can compete at the local, district, state, or national level. Students must compete at the district level to advance to the state level, and then state to advance to the national contest.

The following is a list of current Middle School competitions that are offered in SkillsUSA Texas. Keep in mind, that some of the contests are “State Only”, meaning there is not a national level for that contest. National contest descriptions are on the national web page, www.skillsusa.org, and the “State Only” contest descriptions can be found within the Texas Regulations. For the most updated list of contests offered, please refer to the Texas Regulations.
Middle School students are encouraged to Observe the Commercial Drone Contest this year, we are looking to open it up as a Texas only contest for Middle School in 2025.
