Number of Voting Delegates Per Chapter: Each Texas chapter will have: a. one delegate for the Texas chapter b. one delegate for each group of 10 members c. one delegate for major fraction of 10 members (more than 5) i.e. 16 members = 3 voting delegates; 15 members = 2 voting delegates. At District Contest and State Conference, your delegates vote for officers and any proposed amendments.

Registration will open Dec 15 and close on Jan 29. No late registration. Substitutions and cancelations are allowed Jan 30-Feb 2 only. Any information in registration that is not submitted for an invoice by Feb 2 will be deleted. There is no on site registration. An invoice is the only confirmation that you are fully registered, an estimate of fees is not a complete registration. No Refunds after Feb 2nd. Payments are due Mar 2. Add a 3% fee for credit card transactions. $50/pp, must be a joined member to register. www.skillsusa-register.org

Online PD/Skills Testing window is Feb 3, 8am-Feb 7, 5pm. Click HERE for PD test study guide. If student does not take the test, they will get a ZERO score, no exceptions. The test score is part of the contest score. If entered in multiple contests they will only take the test once per contestant number.  Please register your students with a personal, not a school email address.

Each registered competitor will receive an email on Feb 2nd. This email will contain the link for Online Resume Submission, PD Test completion and Job Exhibit Photo upload all in one place. The deadline for all of these will be February 7th at 5pm. Please note that only the score from the first attempt, timestamped within the designated testing window, will be accepted and considered for their contest score portion. Any test taken outside of this testing window will not be taken into account and will be disregarded.

All contests that require a resume: Resumes must be uploaded through this link to avoid the 10-point penalty. No in-person resume submission will be accepted except for the job interview contest. Job Interview will require a resume to be turned in to the judge as part of the contest.

Welding Sculpture: advisors will be emailed a form after registration closes to certify the student’s ability to weld and that they completed the sculpture. If this form is not submitted before Feb 5th there will be a 20-point deduction to their score.

Any family wanting to attend closing awards will need to complete an Observer Form and submit it before noon on Feb 17th. Forms can be submitted to D4 email or in person at TCC registration area. Wristbands for entry must be picked up from TCC registration area no later than noon on Sat.  No one will be admitted to the closing awards without a wristband or a contestant or advisor badge.

Competition Regulations

All Texas Chapters abide by the regulations as outlined in the Texas Regulations. This document outlines registration limits, state, and nationals advancements, Texas Only contests, and more. Please refer to the Texas Regulations for detailed information. Always prepare your students by reading the newest edition of contest guidelines. 

National Technical Standards

National contests are listed in the national technical standards a free download with your paid professional membership.
